About Me
I'm originally from
Chicago.
Actually, I'm from the northern suburb of
Evanston,
home of
Northwestern
University and a beautiful new
library.
After graduating from
Evanston Township High School
in 1986, I went to
Cornell
University as an English major, but never graduated. My
parents were living in
the
Netherlands, so I headed over there. I ended up spending
seven years in Holland, working for, among others,
Akzo Nobel,
Vertis, and the Dutch phone company,
PTT Telecom, now KPN.
I came back to America on January 1st, 1998 to finish my
undergraduate degree at Columbia University's School of
General Studies.
With some effort (64 credits in three semesters and a summer),
I got my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and graduated
Magna cum Laude in May 1999.
I completed my masters degree, also at Columbia, in May 2001.
Now I'm in the PhD program with Prof. Gail Kaiser as my advisor.
